LOSS PREVENTION

We believe our methodology for loss prevention is far more effective. To both deter new thieves and catch ‘old hands’ at the same time is imperative within loss prevention. We employ a rotating random shift pattern, providing both Undercover Officers and Uniformed Officers.

Our twin role security provides a security presence to deter new thieves, whilst setting a snare to build ‘rap sheets’ on already known criminals. The bigger the ‘rap sheet’ the more the deterrent for recurring theft in any store. Our Security Officers and Bodyguards are among the best trained in the industry. We incorporate cutting edge automated security solutions.

All of the Security Officers that we employ are fully licensed with a current C.O.A. Just as importantly, we insist all of our Officers address all clients and their superiors with ‘Sir’ and ‘Maam’ unless requested not to by our clients or customers, if requested to do so.

STATIC OFFICERS

We manage our Security Officers in such a way that they appreciate working with Imperium Security, the world’s most professional Security Company. Ensuring our Officers receive their permitted breaks is imperative to maintaining a healthy and satisfied payroll. This, in turn, provides additional efficiency to you, our clients. It’s also important from a humanitarian and legal perspective.

To accomplish this we employ unique practices. Not only do our Security Officers receive their legal breaks, they also receive longer than the National Average. Your business security concerns are still at the height of our agenda. We employ stand in Relief Officers during a Security Officer’s lunch break, so that your business is secure at all times. In return, we ask for a little flexibility, a chair for our Security Officer, even a more quiet corner to relax for morning and afternoon tea breaks. Someone to give them access to boiling water, so that they can refill their thermos and the use of a toilet, when required. Our Security Officer’s are still on-site and on-call during morning and afternoon tea breaks, should you require them.

In return, we provide report sheets to our clients. It’s unlikely to occur. However, we need to know if one of our Officers is taking excessive toilet breaks or unscheduled meal breaks, so that we can investigate further. We take both your reputation and ours seriously.

Securmark Anti-Theft Vehicle Marking Business

In 1991 the founder of Imperium Security Brett Young, invested in a small business that was rather profitable. The idea was to sandblast the vehicle's registration platè number into each of the car's windows. The concept was extremely successful. If a criminal has to replace all of the vehicle's windows it becomes a non profitable proposition and the thief will move on to the next vehicle. The concept became so popular that it was dropping in price. In addition to price competitiveness a new challenge arose. Much time was invested professionally securing carparks of supermarkets around Auckland. Initially, supermarket managers were satisfied with our presence. However, there was a growing concern. Less professional operators were now entering an industry that was unregulated. Competition had flooded the market and Managers were now starting to ban all operators from making their living from supermarket carparks. Of course, there was a huge benefit for the supermarkets having the presence of free security within carparks and in hindsight it would have been of more benefit to have allowed the more professional operators to continue under contract. Many operators whom had left the industry or had now slashed their price to just $15, down from $30, were asking Brett how he was still in business. For Brett the solution was obvious. Raise the price to $55 and offer a 100% money back guarantee. Also, go door to door instead, offering the convenience of getting the vehicle etched onsite, offering a discount for bulk. The simple solution paid off. Brett continued operating for years outlasting most operators, before moving on to other ventures. During this period, Brett knocked on 45,000 business doors and 45,000 domestic doors, proving his resilience and determination to offer nothing else other than the best possible client care. Securing Public Areas

Following the security marking business, Brett experimented with offering assistance to the police in a bid to reduce crime. Brett chose to clean up the crime in and around Mission Bay, Kohimarama and St Heliers. This was an easy choice as Brett had 4 generations of family grow up in the area. There were a lot of petty criminals coming from Glen Innes, tagging and increasing burglary rates in the area. Being a night owl Brett would go down to Mission Bay and sand off or paint over their tags. This must have frustrated the taggers because he would cover the whole area from Achilles Point to Bastion Point. Registration plates of trouble makers were passed on to police and all litter, including broken glass, was removed from the carparks. The result was domestic burglary rates dropping from as many as eight to ten domestic burglaries per week down to just nil or one to two domestic burglaries per week, for the entire area.
